The Anaesthesia Department comprises of three Diplomates (two ECVAA and one ACVAA), one residency-trained fellow and two anaesthesia interns. We are a young team of anaesthetists who enjoy working together. The department is supported by a team of experienced theatre nurses. We are looking for a qualified veterinary anaesthetist to join our team. You will be involved in the day to day clinical tasks of anaesthetising patients, assisting other departments with analgesia and critical care, and participate in the out of hours rota. We see a wide variety of interesting cases – mainly dogs and cats but the occasional exotic and pet farm species. Pride has an on-site pain clinic if you are interested in this field. The anaesthesia team runs weekly tutorials and journal clubs, and the hospital has a weekly clinical club on many different subjects.
We offer an attractive salary and CPD package with generous holidays. The applicant must have a veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We welcome applications from Diplomates of the ECVAA or ACVAA, as well as candidates who have completed college-recognised residencies in anaesthesia. The position can be part-time or full-time.
