Dispensary Admnistrator

Dependent on experience  | Full Time  | Markeaton

Our Markeaton practice is set in the tranquil Allestree area of Derby and is a purpose-built amenity offering the very best in equine and farm veterinary services. We have experienced and dedicated teams and access to excellent facilities. These facilities include sixteen stables with boxes for critical care patients and foaling boxes and an operating theatre. We are a Clinical Associate Practice of the University of Nottingham.

The team

We're a warm, friendly, supportive team who proactively have a caring attitude, enthusiasm and desire to provide a high standard of care as a priority. Apart from our professional side, we have a great deal of fun in our time at Scarsdale Vets.

Your role

Based at our farm and equine practice in Markeaton, we are looking for a competent pharmacy administrator who is happy to take responsibility within the pharmacy and retail areas. The role purpose is to maintain sufficient stock levels of medications and other items both physically and by electronic means. Being naturally skilled in attention to detail would be an asset as some medications require specific approval prior to being dispensed, plus, expiry dates need to be closely observed.

Previous working experience within a dispensary would benefit applicants and if the SQP qualification isn’t currently held, we can support this as a training objective. The key requirement we need is a positive and flexible approach to doing the best we can for our clients and their animals.

Working hours are generally Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

The closing date is Tuesday 10th September and interviews will take place as soon as possible.
